Water Body Development

Water-body development is a complex type of earthwork that requires an accurate site survey and the right choice of equipment. PLATIS Ukraine LLC creates ponds, fish ponds and technical reservoirs: from geodetic analysis and bed excavation to soil removal and shoreline grading.

Before work begins, we always carry out a geodetic survey of the site: we determine the groundwater level, the slope of the terrain and the soil’s filtration properties. Without this it is impossible to design the correct shape and depth of the water body — the water would either drain into the ground or overflow the basin during floods.

For water-body development we use JCB, Komatsu and CASE crawler excavators with buckets of various profiles — including trapezoidal buckets for shaping sloped banks without extra grading. Our fleet has over 70 units of equipment, so we select a machine to match the size and configuration of your pond rather than forcing the project to fit the available equipment.

In 8 years we have completed over 480 projects, including water bodies from 200 to 15,000 m³ for private clients, agricultural enterprises and recreation centres. We provide photos of every project and are ready to show references for a similar type of water body already at the negotiation stage.

We calculate the cost after a surveyor’s visit: excavation volume in cubic metres, soil-removal cost and shoreline grading — each as a separate line in the estimate. For legal entities — cashless payment with VAT and a full set of documents (contract, invoice, KB-2/KB-3 acts). For private clients — cash or bank transfer to the company account.

We work in Kyiv and the Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy and Vinnytsia regions. Trailer delivery of equipment is included in the overall estimate — the price does not change after the contract is signed.

How to order water-body development

Leave a request on the website or call us — we will respond within 15 minutes. The surveyor visits the site and prepares a plan with recommended dimensions and depth. Once the shape and estimate are agreed, we sign the contract and set the start date. On completion we hand over the act and the as-built survey of the finished water body.
